Built in 1936 and dedicated to Lord Murugan as "God of the Hills," Kurinji Andavar Temple sits on a hilltop with views over the Palani Hills and northern plains. It's named after the rare Kurinji flower, which blooms in the surrounding hills only once every 12 years. Alongside the main deity, the temple also holds shrines to Ganesha, the Navagrahas, and Vishnu.
